Hi! I’m Lisa Alfano, author, illustrator, blogger, and the Realm Keeper of fictional worlds (both twisted and magical). I write stories that blend secrets, suspense, and a touch of the unexpected—whether it’s at a dangerous boarding school, a fractured coastal town, or a fantasy realm that heroines and shadowy magic rule. If I can pull readers into the pages of one of my stories and help them forget reality for a bit while entertaining them, then I have succeeded. I write my stories for the love of sharing a twisted tale that usually features strong, but flawed, heroines.  

When I’m not crafting plot twists or sketching maps of imaginary kingdoms, you’ll find me barefoot at the beach, likely with a notebook in one hand and my rescue pup by my side.

Flawed Realms is a bookish world of dark fantasy, thrillers, lore, quizzes, tales of magic and mayhem, and the occasional magical mischief for thrill-loving Gen Z and Millennial readers.

I believe that stories should linger long after the final page and that life is far too short to take oneself too seriously. So if you enjoy a bit of suspense, a lot of heart, and maybe a cursed relic or two… we’re going to get along just fine.
