Hi! Thank you for stopping by my website and allowing me to introduce myself.

My name is Lisa Alfano. I craft stories with twisted plots set in flawed worlds and feature strong female lead characters. I am an author of teen and young adult fantasy and thrillers, adult thrillers, and horror short stories. 

 I am a  lifelong New Englander who adores the beach and books. I love many genres and authors, but fantasy, thrillers, and mysteries are my favorite. The main authors who have inspired me at different stages of my life, as both a reader and an author, are: C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Agatha Christie, Jane Austen, and Stephen King. These authors were masters at crafting imaginary worlds, complex characters, and unpredictable plots. Their stories stayed with me long after I finished reading them. 

Although I was previously traditionally published, I am excited to add the title of indie author and self-publisher to my resume. I am also a proud alum of Liberty University, having earned my MBA and MAR degrees there. 

What do I do for fun when I am not writing? When the weather is nice, you can find me at my local beach, taking my furry rescue dog for a walk.  The beach is my favorite place to dream up new stories and plot twists for my characters. 

I also enjoy browsing indie bookstores in search of my next read. I am excited, and honored, to be able to help give back to indie bookstores. For each book purchased on my Bookshop.org storefront, Bookshop.org will donate 10% of your sales to indie bookstores nationwide. 

What am I up to right now? I am hard at work completing the next book in my teen and young adult fantasy series: the Thorne Chronicles.
